Camden Park is the business. Big, satisfying and takes no prisoners. Herbal note, but no tea here.... and some rich plummy flavours. Well fleshed out in the palate, the clever choice for a memorable moment, if not... Try again. No messing around. Not to mention....

Type of Closure: Screwcap

Current Vintage: 2021
Producer: Origin Wine Ltd.
Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker: Jim Moularadellis
Agent: Origin Wine Ltd.
Vinification Details: Harvesting during March and April at optimum ripeness. Hand harvested and upon receipt at the winery the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Pre-fermentation maceration 3 days @ 10°C. Standard (2 × pump overs) maceration at <30°C until dry. Malolactic fermentation with back blend of 20% matured on French Oak MT + staves.
History: Camden Park became world-renowned for the quality of its wine. Camden Park played a vital role in the fledgling Australian wine industry through its importation and distribution of vine cuttings throughout NSW and the Barossa Valley of SA. By 1853 Camden Park listed some 33 grape varieties for sale.
Regional Information: The climate varies greatly, with the more interior regions being intensely hot and growing cooler closer to the coastal regions. Across the region there is low annual rainfall which necessitates irrigation to counter droughts. The soil types are also varied, and include the terra rosa, the limestone-marl based, and the sandy, clay loam-based soils.
